Man held after breaching conditions

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with breaching his release conditions.

On August 25, 2012, the man was released from custody with conditions, one being a daily curfew of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. with another being to notify police of any changes in his address, employment or occupation.

On October 2, 2021 officers conducted a residence check on the man. Through investigation, officers learned that the man had moved from his Raleigh Street address without notifying police and that he was also disobeying his curfew condition.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday, officers located the man at a residence on Adelaide Street South in Chatham. The 25-year Chatham man was arrested and has been charged with two counts of failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
