For the past three years Chatham-Kent Police Service has partnered with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services - Youth Justice Services Division to offer an opportunity for youth in our community to develop skills relevant to a career in policing. The program lasts eight weeks and is a great summer job. This year the Chatham-Kent Police Service is proud to announce this year’s two Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI) students Felica Burggraf and Justice Cumming. YIPI is open to youth ages 14-17 in the Chatham-Kent area.
The program introduced students to various areas of police services including : media relations, traffic management, career development, property management, and record keeping.
