Threatening voicemail leads to arrest

A Chatham man found out Wednesday that leaving a threatening message on a former friends voicemail is a good way to make enemies.

Police say that on Wednesday they received a complaint from a woman on Riverview Drive who claimed to have received the threat. The woman claimed to have been friends with the suspect for years and recently the two had a falling out.

Chatham-Kent police say they investigated and found the threat on the victims voicemail.

An 18-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with uttering threats. He has been released pending a future court date.
