The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a stolen vehicle from Windsor.
Tuesday morning police initiated a traffic stop on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Upon confirming the man’s identity the police stated the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant by the Windsor police. CKPS determined that the vehicle in which the man was driving along with the attached licence plates were both stolen from the Windsor area. Police said the man was also breaching a recognizance by failing to comply with a residence condition and a probation order by failing to be of good behaviour.
A 39-year-old Raleigh Township man has been charged with two counts of being in possession of property under $5000 obtained by a crime, one count of breaching his probation order and one count of failing to comply with his recognizance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
