Cyclist struck, driver charged

The Chatham-Kent Police Service investigated a motor vehicle collision in Chatham Wednesday night.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Park Avenue West near Wedgewood Avenue. A 37-year-old Chatham woman riding her bicycle was struck by a car. The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries, however was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by ambulance for medical treatment.

A 77-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with failing to yield.
