The Chatham-Kent police conducted a search warrant in Chatham yesterday afternoon.
Around 4:30 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Adelaide Street. A search of the residence revealed a functioning marijuana grow operation with 19 plants at various stages of maturity and about 150 grams of dried marijuana. The estimated street value of the total amount of drugs seized is over $20,000.
Four people were located in the residence and charges of marijuana production are pending.
