Police arrested a man in Chatham for failing to comply with release conditions.
On March 2, 2012, police arrested and charged a man with eight criminal code offences following an incident on King Street in Chatham that lead to one officer being sent to hospital with minor injuries as a result of the man actively resisting arrest.
The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing and released by the courts on a recognizance with several conditions, one being that he had to present himself and sign in to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
Yesterday afternoon, the man failed to present himself and sign in. Officers located the man at a residence on Longwoods Road and arrested him without incident.
A 30-year-old man has been charged with failing to comply and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
