Three people arrested for theft of chocolate bars

The Chatham-Kent police have charged three people following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.

At about 10:45 a.m. yesterday morning, police were called to a business on Grand Avenue West in regards to a theft complaint.  Employees provided police with suspect information as they had already left the store with approximately $50 worth of stolen chocolate bars.  Officers located the suspects shortly thereafter and they were all arrested.   The chocolate bars were recovered and returned to the store.

Police have charged a 41-year-old Chatham woman, 26-year-old Chatham man and 17-year-old Chatham woman with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.  They have all been released with future court dates.
