On Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, Just For Laughs brings more of its funniest alumni to the Chatham Capitol Theatre with the Just For Laughs Road Show! Now in its 8th year touring across Ontario every spring, the Road Show features 4 of the best stand-ups straight from the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy event. The Chatham Capitol Theatre is proud to present comedians Godfrey, Bret Ernst, Paula Bel, and host Pete Zedlacher.
In the thirteen years that Canadian comedian Pete Zedlacher has been performing as a stand-up, his career has taken him around the world. Pete is most proud of his “tour of duty” entertaining the Canadian Forces serving in Afghanistan in April of 2002, making him the first stand-up comedian to perform in the war-torn country. He currently works as a writer and performer on Canada’s late night talk show “The Hour” With George Stroumboulopoulos.
Godfrey has appeared on BET, VH1, Comedy Central, and feature films such as “Soul Plane”, “Original Gangstas”, “Zoolander”, and “Johnson Family Vacation”. Currently, he is a regular performer at the comedy club Comedy Cellar in New York City. His first one-hour special, “Godfrey: Black by Accident” was shot for Comedy Central on January 22, 2021 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City to a standing room only audience.
Bret Ernst was a recurring character on the hit Showtime series “Weeds”, and has guest starred on “CSI: NY”. His stand up has been featured on “The Late Late Show” on CBS, & on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend”. He has made celebrity appearances on “The Chelsea Lately Show” on E!, “Comics Unleashed” on ABC, and E!s “Top Ten”.
Paula Bel is a true original, headlining in clubs across the country, performing in Europe and having toured with the USO. Only six years into her stand-up career, she performed on “The Tonight Show.” Paula’s numerous television appearances and writing style make her one of the most unique and funniest female comics performing today.
