Four arrested at River Rock
Four people were arrested near the River Rock Nightclub on King St., in downtown Chatham on Saturday night.
Police were called around 12:30 A.M. after a patron who had been at the nightclub earlier tried to re-enter but was denied by security staff. The accused man then allegedly spat in the face of the doorman and a fight began. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for assault.
While the police were there two other male persons were also observed to be too intoxicated as they left the nightclub. Another 20-year-old man assaulted a police officer while he was at the River Rock, and he too was arrested for assaulting the police officer. Two of the intoxicated men were released when they sobered up and issued tickets for public intoxication. The other two men were released with a future court date for the assaults.
